He has practiced law since 1996 and is licensed in all Minnesota
Courts and in US Tax Court. His legal practice experience includes
Divorce & Family Law, Family Mediation, Early Neutral Evaluations (both Social and Financial), cases involving complex financial issues and Tax Law and Tax Appeals.
In his
free time he enjoys kayaking, cooking, hiking, antiques and comedy. He is currently involved in various home
improvement projects (completion date unknown) with the help of his
wife, Anna. He volunteers his time to several different Pro Bono legal causes throughout the Twin Cities each year.

Randall is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association (including the Family Law and Tax Law Sections), Hennepin County Bar Association, Anoka County Bar Association and the Collaborative Law Institute of Minnesota.
He has extensive experience with high conflict divorce and family law cases and with cases involving complex financial matters including the valuation of assets (real estate, brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, securities, stocks, pensions and businesses), the division of debts, spousal maintenance claims and calculations involving the financial tracing of non-marital assets.
Mr. Smith also has extensive experience in child custody cases (including cases with unmarried parents), child custody evaluations, issues related to co-parenting and parenting plans, addiction issues, mental health issues and Early Neutral Evaluations.
Mr. Smith successfully mediates Divorce and Family Law cases involving child custody, parenting time, child support, division of assets and debts, spousal maintenance (alimony) and post-decree issues.
